Can anyone provide a system to mount a deep cycle battery on a Polaris Ranger 500 . For a Ranger 500 that is 2013 or newer.
Do not want to use the original battery to run the winch.

Where would a deep cycle battery be placed in post 2013 ranger 500 for use with a winch?

Will power winch with larger, separate 12v deep cycle supply
Do you have your winch hooked up so it will only work if the key switch is on.

If not it will draw power off the battery.
Run your utility vehicle when you use your winch too.

We do not have a winch hooked up to the Ranger. I am asking where on a ranger 500 would a deep cycle battery be physically mounted, other than the dump.
Want to use a winch independant of the stock Ranger electrical system.

O.K.

I have a 4500 LB Super ATV winch.
Use it with the stock battery.
Don't need another battery.

WAs wondering why you wanted another battery.
Don't know what all you have to your battery.

Amazon.com: Polaris Battery 30 Amp Hour Type AGM, Genuine OEM Part 4014609, Qty 1: Automotive

Top post battery.
Looking for at least 50 amp hour.
A deep cycle marine battery - similiar to what we use for our trolling motor setup may be good battery source.

Yes, If I can't find a place to mount a battery I may mount the winch to the rear receiver and put the battery on the ground or in the dump. Will using the winch to help clear brush, so once the brush is cleared -- then we can mount the winch on the front of the Ranger for an occasional use.

you had better check the amperager output of the alternator of the unit, it may not be enough to feed 2 batteries, which will burn up the alternator
