I just replaced the belt on my 2006 Ranger 700 XP and now when I put it in gear (if I can get it in gear), the vehicle moves on its own. Because the belt is "dragging" it is very difficult to switch from low to high or from low to neutral / reverse to neutral. Any suggestions????

If it's idling a little fast, this could cause shifting problems. The old belt might have been worn enough that it didn't bother. Also the surfaces of the clutches could have a buildup of rubber from the belt. Just clean with a paper towel or rag, and brake clean or alcohol.
