I was riding in extremely dusty conditions this weekend and the clutches appeared to become noisier. Then when I got home today back to normal. Will dust cause noise in the clutches?

dust and/belt wear can cause noise…I know mine started a louder and louder whine once things got heated up. I got an oem belt and replaced and it’s much quieter, but still has a whine when it gets heated up.

just make sure primary filters stay cleaned. From my reading some of the whining is from the veins on the clutches that whistle and many if not all have some of that.

Ya it may be the heat. All but brand new belt on it but it was pretty steep over there so I’m sure it got warm. Thanks.

You should be blowing the clutches out anyway for maintenance, I'd open the cover and blow it out real well. Give everything a good inspection while you have it open.
