I stopped over to the Polaris dealer in Elko last week and bought an extra 2008 Ranger belt and 2 spark plugs just to have in the Ranger in case of a break down. They came to over $104.00. The belt was over $90.00. That seems awful steep to me or are they that expensive.

They had to change the belt on mine because they said mine got oil soaked. The job was under warranty, so I don't know how much it was. I got to keep the old belt though which was almost brand new.

The dealer is always the highest price on anything, and the less dealers you have in your area just makes it worse.

I found it was cheaper to buy factory polaris stuff online or even ebay.

As to how big of a thief they are, I do the mail order since the closest dealer is an hour away.

I bought a belt a while back, the new 118 belt and it was $93.00 at my local dealer.
