Picked up a 2014 Ranger XP900 yesterday. Never been that interested in a side-by-side. Needless to say I’m not knowledgeable on the subject. Seemed like a pretty good deal, but now I’m not so sure. The machine has 11k miles. I was going under the assumption that it was similar to a motorcycle engine, where 11k is nothing. But people are telling me 11k on a UTV is high mileage. It seems to run okay and is in great condition otherwise.

I dig the color, 11K miles is kind of a lot, but certainly not too much…..change everything, engine oil, check for particulate matter, transmission fluid, differentials, use the correct replacement fluids. The brake pads might need replacing, yank on the suspension, anything clank or feel loose? Check and or replace the air filter, the coolant and maybe check the fuel pressure. How does it run? If you’re into it, get a manual, and start checking and replacing parts that need it. To me, it looks like street miles, is the underneath scratched at all? I’ve got a ‘15 in green, I like your color.

Starts right up and runs good. Everything works so far. Had to fix the drivers side door release. They told me it was just out of adjustment but when I took it apart one of the tabs that holds the release button in place was broken off so I made a new one out of some scrap plastic stock. Works like a champ now.

It doesn't look like it.
The machine is a RANGER XP® 900 DELUXE NUCLEAR SUNSET ORANGE

This was an interesting version of a Ranger XP 900. Had a center console, a stereo, quasi-bucket seats (definitely not a bench seat anyways), and those doors only ever went on 4 special version machines (1 each in 2014, 2015, and 2x in 2016).

Here are the other machines that came with those doors
