For those that may be affected..........Polaris: A small number of 2008 Polaris Ranger RZR 800 four-wheelers are being recalled because a fuel tank seam may not have been welded correctly. Dealers will replace the tanks on the affected machines.

Recall notices are mailed to vehicle owners and may take several weeks to arrive. If you do not receive a notice, contact a dealer.

My brothers RZR was one of the recalled machines! He is still awaiting a new tank and was notified well over a month ago to not use his RZR until the tank is replaced.

From what I have been told there was a problem with the plastic welder that makes the seams not being hot enough for a very short run of tanks.

Your dealer will have serial number of the ones affected and you will need to take the numbers right off the label on the tanks when you remove the passengers seat. There could be two numbers so write them both down and call your dealer.
