I’ve had several tunes by Terry. You’ll be fine with just the ECU tune. Then down the road if you feel like doing the clutch, then do it. It’s an easy task!

It’s an easy task!I plan to send my ECM OUT TO Gilomen for their ECM flash. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some insite whether I just do the ECM flash with or without the clutch kit. My ride is a 2022 premium with the SOHC. Is the additional cost of the clutch worth the gain.
They talked me into just doing the tune. I really haven't had much of a chance to test it out. It keeps snowing and it super muddy everywhere. I did take it on a burn down the highway. It topped out at 61mph and 6450 for rpm's with my 28" tires. I kind of figured it would top out with more rpms and speed. With it in turf mode and wet pavement it lights up the one wheel peel on pavement.Did you get your ecu retuned by Gilomen? If so how do you like it? And what did you end up doing?
It would be interesting to know if anyone else went the same route as me and than did the clutch kit. I'm wondering on what improvements or changes they seen.Did you get your ecu retuned by Gilomen? If so how do you like it? And what did you end up doing?
I installed the tune and torque monster clutch kit at around 300 miles on our 21 NorthStar crew. Took about 2 minutes to flash it using the EZLynk. Almost 3300 miles on her now. Top speed 74, but she should do a little better now since I lowered my rpm a little by adding more magnets to the clutch weights. One time doing 74 was plenty for me. I generally run between 45-55 when driving into town. Best thing about lowering the rpm was the fuel mileage increase. At 50 mph I’m running around 6200 rpm compared to 6650-6675 rpm. If I take it easy when driving I can get close to 20 mpg. When it was stock, 14-16.They talked me into just doing the tune. I really haven't had much of a chance to test it out. You have an XP I presume if you are seeing those speeds. The OP has a standard 1000 from what I gather.I installed the tune and torque monster clutch kit at around 300 miles on our 21 NorthStar crew. I do have the SOHC engine. The NS definitely has the DOHC engine. Bombing around the farm will be 70% of my use. Just wondering what sort of gains anyone has seen after the clutch mod.You have an XP I presume if you are seeing those speeds. The OP has a standard 1000 from what I gather.
What weight configuration are u running in it?I installed the tune and torque monster clutch kit at around 300 miles on our 21 NorthStar crew. Took about 2 minutes to flash it using the EZLynk. Initial, 6,2,0,0 when I got it from Gilomen. Then after I talked with Terry he suggested I go to 6,4,2,0. I wanted to lower my rpm at highway speeds. This configuration dropped my rpm around 500. Still has plenty of power and I’m pretty happy with it!What weight configuration are u running in it?
I just got my tune and TM Clutch back and installed on my 21 1000XP Crew. It was hard to notice much gain, as my RPMS were really high. Just sounded louder and not much seat set back. Had a 14 XP RZR before and was hoping to feel something closer to it. I just left the 6-2-0-0 mags in it. I Was going to try 6-2-2-0, with yours being the Northstar not sure I should match yours or not. Mine came with a Pink and gold spring, but sine Im only running 30" tires I didnt have to install the gold spring. I have the Gboost belt prior to getting this done, but the belt has about 1800 miles on it. So maybe I need a freshened up belt? Were you able to install mags in the weights without taking the clutch back apart?Initial, 6,2,0,0 when I got it from Gilomen. Then after I talked with Terry he suggested I go to 6,4,2,0. I’m using the pink spring. I didn’t like having my rpm’s so high. I’m also running 30 inch tires, BFG KM3’s. I believe you should try 6,4,2,0 like I’m running. What is your rpm at 30, 40, and 50? This setting for me dropped my rpm approximately 500, and left me with plenty of power.I just got my tune and TM Clutch back and installed on my 21 1000XP Crew. By changing to 6,4,2,0 your able to get around 20 MPG, Road riding?I’m using the pink spring. I didn’t like having my rpm’s so high. I’m also running 30 inch tires, BFG KM3’s. No sir, I’ve never tried it and don’t believe I could get weights in there with it all together.
I’ll be heading out your way in a few weeks to P-dog shoot, year #54. Damn am I getting old.I believe with that setup it was around 18. I changed the weight setup last time I had it apart. Now I’m running 7,7,3,3. At first I thought I lost a lot of power, until I realized I had it in work mode. When I change it to standard or performance it has all the power I need and runs great!
I think you could go with 6,4,2,0, or 7,7,3,3. Best mileage would be with 7,7,3,3. I really like it. Not too much rpm difference between the two until you get up to the higher speeds. 7,7,3,3 will run about 300-400 lower than 6,4,2,0 at the higher rpm levels. I generally run in low range if my speed is less than 20. Which ever you decide to use I believe you’ll be happy with! Good luck on your trip, and have fun.I’ll be heading out your way in a few weeks to P-dog shoot, year #54. Damn am I getting old.
So, what do you think I should set mine at for best mileage? We ride 90% road here.
