Does anybody have an experience with the Gilomen gold pro clutch?

I have a 2024 XP 1000 with 2500 miles and the constant surging going down the road is annoying. Bought it new and immediately installed the fuel saver clutch weights in it. Took the clutch apart and found worn weights, spider etc. Contacted Gilomen and after several emails they recommended their gold pro clutch.

I'm wondering if its that much better than just fixing my stock clutch. Would be about $500 in parts vs $1150 for new clutch.

The gold pro is nothing more than this clutch with a fancy cover.
If you want a real upgrade? I’d look at the duraclutch rxl

I run at speeds above where you’re running most of the time! I’ve had the OEM clutch, with Gilomen’s Torque Monster clutch kit, then with their Fuel Savers clutch kit, Gilomen’s clutch with their Fuel Savers clutch kit, and now the RXL Duraclutch.

Duraclutch is the smoothest engaging clutch I’ve ever had. I believe I have around 1200 - 1300 plus miles on it since I installed it. I also installed their secondary clutch kit when I changed clutches. Based on my experience with these clutches, I would go with Duraclutch if I ever have to replace clutches again. Only thing that will change my mind is IF the Duraclutch doesn’t hold up over time.

I got 5535 miles out of the OEM clutch, 4602.1 miles out of the Gilomen clutch kit. Had to send the Gilomen clutch back, and they replaced some parts in it under the 1 year warranty. I believe I’ve gone through 4 different sets of weights! I tuned this machine with the EZlink that I purchased about 2-3 weeks after I get this machine. Wouldn’t own one of these without Gilomen’s tune!

I forgot to say one thing, the new RXL Duraclutch does not have weights like the OEM, or Gilomen’s clutch. It’s set up at the factory based on your elevation and riding style. If you want to know more, watch some of the video’s on it or contact Greg, Toxic21 on this forum. I believe you won’t regrets it if you decide to go with Duraclutch!

I have watched some videos on the duraclutch. Its an interesting design, 6 rollers on the spider and a sealed unit. Very few parts in it which is a plus. Will be less rpm than the stock XP1000 another plus but more than the fuel saver clutch.

Harvey's says its a performance clutch and 300 more rpm on top. At $399. Its the cheapest by far and its hard for me to not buy. The XP1000 fuel saver clutch weights will not fit in it but the price difference will buy a lot of gas even with our $7-8 gallon stuff.

Gold Pro, can be had with the fuel saver weights. Still will be replacing weights after a couple thousand miles probably. Most likely this would be my last option

Since I'm in Finland and limited to 37.8 mph - 60 km/h, performance is not a high priority. I have about 2500 miles on my ranger and the fuel saver weights have been in since it was new. Unfortunately now my return flight to Finland has been changed and if I buy something it has to be today or tomorrow and will need to have next day shipping.
