Gilomen Tune Reviews

I just found out today that our new Ranger Crew Ultimate has arrived. We are having the Gilomen tune and clutch kit installed next week.
Anybody have any reviews of this setup?
Thanks

I've got their tune, 118HP Challenger kit and their clutch in my 2019 Northstar. No complaints at all. They know their stuff.

I started out with their clutch kit in the stock clutch, but eventually just ordered the Gilomen clutch to eliminate the issues with the stock clutch.

Good luck.
You went with the adjustable weight kit and not the fixed weights I hope?
I have a 900XP with the tuned ECU and clutch upgrade. It’s a much better total system than the stock Ranger setup. More torque, better mileage, no reverse creep. Fast two day service on the ECU and great overall service. I called with questions and spoke to the owner.

I’ve had Gilomen on 2 NorthStar crews. The 18 that we traded in had just over 5600 tuned miles on it. I tuned our 21 with less that 300 miles on it. So far just under 4000 miles on it since we purchased it in late January of 22. No issues at all. Great people to deal with. If you have questions for Gilomen I would just send them an email. They usually answer the same day.

I do a lot of traveling at speeds of 45-55. Have my weights sets to 7,7,3,3. That lowers my rpm at the higher speeds, and it still has plenty of power!

Good luck on your new machine. I think you’ll love the additional power.
I’ve had 4 SxSs tuned by Gilomen, All I can say is WOW! What a difference it makes.

The boys over a Gilomen are hard to get a hold of, called 3x and left 2 voicemails. Would like some feedback from their Tech before I pull the trigger and purchase there kit.

Just got off the phone with giIomen, I think I’m going to take the plunge also. I’m going to see if they will set it up the 7733 like wyomud has it set up, his wife said he should be able to.

Let us know how your mileage turns out after you install your new weights.

I believe your going to love it. Before Installing I recommend that you check the number of magnets in each weight. One of mine was incorrect when I got it from Gilomen. I just happened to notice the difference when I got them out of the box. The more magnets you install the lower your rpm will be at higher speeds. I’m currently running 7,7,3,3 and really like it. I believe when I first got it, I set it to 6,3,2,2.

Good luck!
Just check it when you get it. Really easy to remove the magnets. I used a small allen wrench. If you have any questions at all let us know and we’ll be sure to help you guys out!

Be sure to check your clutch alignment. They have a really good video to watch on YouTube. You’ll need an inch pound torque wrench and a foot pound if you have to install a shim on the secondary. It comes with some shims. If you’ve never removed the clutch cover, the video will help. I also remove the tire, air filter cover and the air intake hose that goes from the air box to the engine intake. You don’t have to remove it, but it helps.

wyoMuds right, makes it allot easier when you remove what WM said. I still have a hell of a time getting cover back on. I dropped the last cover screw and it landed under the cover so I had to completely remove the cover again to retrieve it. Then I took a small piece of furnace tape, sliced an X in it, slid the screw through it and folded it back onto the 8mm socket to prevent the screw from falling out of the socket.
