My son was out hunting and shot a nice doe this morning. The headache bar winch setup was great for gutting and loading (y)

I have the same setup. Best thing in the world for loading game.
That is the first time I have had a chance to use it. It does work great!
I’m incredibly jealous. I want one of these for my mid size 500, but they don’t offer it. Congrats on the doe!

I have thought about that too aguyindallas. Don't think the standard roll cage frame would handle it.
Love mine. Saves my back since I hunt by myself a lot.

My Ranger is a vintage 2004 model with windshield hard to and fabric doors. Would have to mount it to the top roll cage bar. Might look that over good and if it is tied to the front also it might just handle a light winch. Nice machine you have there.

There is a version where the winch mounts to the back wall of the bed. I wonder if that would work in other models. That one is made by "bowed uploaders".
what bumper/winch combo is that on the rear? It looks like a nice set up.
I made a red neck version with a boat trailer hand winch mounted on lock and ride mounts that drop in the bed top holes .

Can you post a picture of that? I might try and make something like that for my old 6X6 "Big Boss"

It’s a Thumperfab bumper with a KFI Stealth winch.

Thanks! That is a really useful, simple solution. Is it connected by just the one thumbscrew tie down in the front? Or is there another that I can't see?
The two anchors you see are bracing the toolbox in the bed . The winch has a small square stock welded to the bottom and slides into a larger square tube that is welded to the toolbox bracing. It’s basically a receiver hitch like for a trailer ball. You can see the pin that holds it just behind the winch . I just slide it in when I need it and it lives in the toolbox otherwise.

Oh, I think I see it now. The tube is inside and flush with the bed then the receiver kind of slides over and the boat hoist winch sits on top of the side. Nice!
