Need help Ranger wont go over 20 MPH

As the title says, my 2012 800 crew wont go over 20 MPH. I bought this used a few months ago and have just been using it for chores and stuff on my small property. Well yesterday I decided to open it up on the road and it wouldnt get over about 20 MPH. It would just kinda bog and not go any faster. It seems well taken care of and only has 250 hrs and runs fine other than that. Previous owner said he just had it service prior to me buying it.

Do yall have any ideas on this one?

have you checked the spark arrestor, if its carboned up it may require removeing it and a thourough cleaning.
There's no seat belt safety on these. I'll check the spark arrestor.

Any other ideas? It started hesitating on take off the other day since I've made the thread. If the spark arrestor isnt the issue I will have to take it to a mechanic.
When it reaches its new top speed, is it spitting and sputtering? Does it just stop pulling revs, and kind of runs normal? Have you checked the intake boots, fuel pressure, air cleaner? Fresh fuel, plugs look ok, the spark arrester could very well choke things off. …….try easy stuff first.

if all else fails try a couple ounces of SeaFoam, i used this stuff on my boat motor for yrs and it really helped the fuel system out.
The check engine light came on and it's giving 651 error code, which is an injector issue. At least now I have a place to start diagnosing. Thank yall for the help

Most likely the injector harness. OTBPOWERSPORTS.COM for replacements.

I'd suggest cutting all the zip ties where they are bunched up around the throttle body and pulling back the looms. You'll probably find a bunch of wires wore through
