New switch panel!!!

Polaris read my mind! I have been looking for months for a switch panel to go above the mirror for lights. I really didn’t want to spend the $800 on the speaker kit cuz I read reviews by guys on here who said it wasn’t very good. Well look at the new 2023 trail boss. Switch panel with a rear work light. This will make it so much easier for roof mounted lights to plug into roof bus bar and just put the switches up high. This is exactly what I wanted to do. Now just wait for it to come in stock!!

Just tried to order the back up light it isn’t available yet.

I picked up my 22 NS Ultimate a few minutes ago.

No ready to swap my accessories over from my 2021.

It took some digging. Under build and price I was able to add it and then got the part number. Then searched the part number in ranger accessories.

Nice work
Are you talking about the one on the back of the roof as seen on the NS Trailboss? (Edit. Nvm, I found it. You add it to some as an accessory item but because it comes on the TB NS it is removed from the options.)

New switch panel is cool for sure. I looked at the instructions and i am a bit confused about the bracket. It looks as if the rear buss bar mounts to it. That’s weird because the buss bar already mounts to the roof. There must be a reason for it though.

They even put it on the trail boss model like mine.

I’m flattered by their imitation.

Indeed sir. Rigid makes lights that can be flush mounted and I wanted to do it like they have that light mounted now in the rear. Nice clean factory look.

Personally i like your setup better the polairis design you have a ton of wires going up top not easy to conceal the wires. unless you build a relay box setup that uses something like Cat5 wire to the switch box so you can only have a single wire to run to the switch panel but it becomes much more of a pain to setup

The VOSWITCH system I installed uses a single cable smaller than a pencil that has a round plug with several pins for the blister style switch panel. I tucked it over the headliner lip from behind the driver’s seat to the rear view mirror. I made a brief installation review.

I previously installed a Polaris style rocker switch panel/system in my 800XP. As you pointed out, it was many more wires to deal with. I have picture albums link in my signature which show each system.

However, I am intrigued with the flush mount rear light and perhaps ease of wiring there versus my current system running a wire from the cab via the frame to the rear, then returning to the front of the bed, up the roll bar to the center. That is a lot of exposed wire.

Here is the $250 Polaris “work light” for the bed: https://ranger.polaris.com/en-us/shop/accessories/lights/2889672/?pfm=Browse.

It won’t put out the amount of light as my led light bar, but the purpose is different.

A google search brings up a lot of intriguing options for flush mounted lights. I’ll have to continue looking at that possibility.

Agree on wiring. Took a while to run the wires here especially through the windshield channel for clean looks.

One day I’ll replace those with black screws….

Yea I seen it came in stock, and went back out of stock the next day lol. I was planning rear cab corner pods, but the rear work light looks like a great clean option too! Maybe both, and aim the pods more off the side. I'm thinking interior lights, rear lights, and eventually would like to put a windshield wiper switch up there.

I was (im)patiently waiting for this. Had the product open in my browser on my phone and would refresh a few times a day. Luckily I noticed when it came back in stock and ordered one. A few hours later I got an email from Polaris that it was now in stock, and by they it was already limited quantity — by the next day it was sold out.

If people are still looking, reach out to the dealers in your area — there’s a chance that they may have some on order as well.

Would love for you all to post pics and even a new thread on the install, and install of the upper switch panel harness and y harness for rear cubes etc. There isn't any pics, videos or hardly anything online yet since it's so new. If ya'll install the rear work light, would love to see pics videos of that too. Seems like it should be a really good way to go especially for everything up top. Oh, and I have to imagine the 12v Cargo Box Power Port would be best wired to the upper switch panel too.
I think I’ll be doing rear pods, the work light isn’t available yet. I already bought the y-harness and harness kit with rocker switch so I was planning to either get the pro armor pods or rigid pods.

Check out the instructions online for the Roof Switch Panel Kit. It shows the bracket mounted under the Rear Pulse Bar.

And the instructions for the upper switch panel harness shows the relay of the harness mounted to that bracket. I would assume you have room to mount 4 relays for 4 rockers to that bracket. Nice little design I'd think.

Because it's so new and only on the Trail Boss, most Polaris dealer parts folks and mechanics don't know much about the upper switch panel and harness setups yet, so hopefully this helps some people out.
