I just have to vent somewhere. I ordered my NorthStar Ultimate August 20th, 2021. Like others I keep getting a delay again message. I was given the opt out letter back in Feb. 2022 and receive my Ranger sooner without a command ride package. My dealer advised me that it looked like I was on schedule, and I should get it no later than the April 25th timetable. Big mistake there...Polaris then moved up the date to May 15th to June 24th, 2022! I can't blame my dealer as I truly believe he is not getting correct information from Polaris. I then called Polaris customer representative and ask him for some information when I could for sure receive my Ranger. He called me back a couple hours later and told me what I already know and to keep my fingers crossed! Ha!!! What a mess! I need some straight up answerers from someone.

Agree, Polaris needs to do a better job if they don't want to lose customers. How do we rattle their cage??

Good question that I don't have an answer for. The dealers don't care if you cancel cause the have a list of people ready to jump in and buy yours as soon as it does come in. I guess you just have to believe in carma.

I think one day the government is going to step in and regulate certain things. Especially standard safety features .

why does a inexpensive Corolla or Kia come with air bags, smooth shifting shift levers, and a radio for $17,000?!?

I think the best thing we as consumers can do to make Polaris get things is rally together , contact Polaris directly not our local selling dealers finding the right desk and voicing the same valid concerns respectfully. If hundreds of us with all the same issues called the same department in a months time they would get the point.

What does his have to do with keeping the customer informed?
Well if they are not getting correct info how can they relay correct info…

say Polaris is getting told they are getting 1000 ride command screens, so they update us the SXS customers and the screen supplier only ships 500 and puts the rest on back order. well then Polaris is now put in a bad place because the supplier did not supply the correct amount of parts (this happens alot right now)…

i don't understand what your confusion is…

if this is true they should have time to update the customers if they have nothing to built
Then Polaris should have more time (because of nothing to build) to update the Dealers and customers.

They dont always get notice i work in fabrication and manufacturing and lots of time the suppliers dont tell us anything its just when we get the shipment of parts we get a packing slip with what was shipped and whats on back order, its a terrible system but its just how things work unfortunately

I hear ya loud and clear. I ordered my ultimate last Aug 23 and went thru all the garbage until we got the wonderous email from polaris saying to cancel, leave order alone or get it with out ride command and spend $2,000 less on the machine. I opted for getting the machine with out ride command. I received the machine on 23 March. To make up for the ride command not being available I got a Garmin Tread Overland GPS with 8in screen. Love it. I sincerely hope you get yours very very soon. Take Care.

Wow and sorry for your continued wait Cowboy Joe. Makes me feel glad that I just snagged one off the lot last year rather than order. Of course mine is only a 1000 eps camo, but regardless I've had it handy to use for a thousand chores during the last 6 months. I really didn't realize the supply issues were still this bad with Polaris as I only come on the site from time to time now. We did go through this recently with a sawmill we ordered that had a 6 week lead time that was then extended another 10 weeks after an 8 week wait. Luckily it randomly shipped in around the 9th to 10th week. Good luck on your NorthStar and hope it comes way faster than expected!

I know how you feel they did the same to me a couple months ago. HOWEVER, I called the customer service folks at Polaris and they told me the build date schedule etc. Their number is 1 (800) 765-2747. I wish you the soonist arrival date on your new family member. :)

I was lucky enough to sense the writing on the wall and found a used one that I bought pending the one I ordered coming in. It has been awhile now.

This is happening a lot with everything. It is a "wait and see when it happens" economy. I'm not really mad at Polaris. I am sure they want to sell them all tomorrow. The on demand society we used to enjoy has been replaced by the current mess.

I really like the 2017, other than that 6" lift seems to be tearing up drive shafts. Still contemplating just keeping this one rather than waiting. It's been about 9 months and it might be quite a few more from the looks of things.

Good luck to everyone on order. Polaris is still the best company out there in my opinion. Just got to wait it out and forget about the timing until it happens.
