I smoked my hillard cage this winter plowing and though a long story have an extra front demand drive laying around. I put it in and it seems to work fine however at least one front wheel will engage even if I unplug the wiring harness from the drive. I cannot confirm that both front wheels pull. Is that normal at all? It might be a crazy question but should the front engage at all if the switch is in the 2 wheel drive position? I've had a front demand drive apart and don't see why you wouldn't get pull from one tire like an open diff. might give you.
