Greetings-
To date I’ve had someone plow our home’s 1/2 mile long driveway in VT and I’ve used a walk-behind snowblower to clear the walkways. We are currently downsizing and moving to Fairfield County, CT.

My plan is to put a snowblower on the XP800 as the driveway, no matter which house we buy, will be significantly shorter.

I turn to you subject matter experts and ask the following:
• which snowblower do you feel is best?
• how many HP do you recommend?
• advantages/disadvantages of snowblower?
• should I consider a simple snowplow with controls in the cab? Why/Why not?

NOTE; I am almost 70’s years old with a mild heart condition. My thinking is that the snowblower will be less stressful on the machine and might be easier for my wife to use.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I think purchasing a snow blower attachment for clearing your driveway would be unreasonably expensive.
We recommend getting a Warn snow plow system with a blade-raising mechanism. It is easy to install and use. More details here.

Thank you so very much!!! Most likely the path I will take as I already have a winch.
