Hello,

I have a 2006 ranger 500 4x4 EFI and recently had the driven clutch fly apart on me. I have the replacement part and have a question on installation. How do I ensure proper alignment of the driven clutch with the shims?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't know first-hand, so I looked in my manual for 2005-2007 500 4x4 models. It calls for using a clutch alignment tool, PN 2870654. To change alignment, it talks about loosening all the engine mounts and moving the engine around.

To follow their directions, which include pictures as much as text to tell you how (don't think I could copy & paste it), you pretty much have to have that tool.

Wish I could be more help.
