The Ride Command housing at the bottom where it connects to the dash keeps coming loose. I took it apart and found the plastic tabs on the dash busted. Looks like they broke because of the crappy way Polaris made the housing and the metal piece that helps holds the windshield under it. No quality control at all!
My fix was to add a pushpin to each side. It was very easy to do. Once I held it in place, I heated up a small nail so I could start a hole. From there just drilled it out large enough for the pushpin. It came out looking pretty good. It doesn’t pop loose anymore when I bouncing down our dirt road.
We’ve had our new NorthStar a little over 6 months and will have 2000 miles on it in a day or two.
