Top speed 2021 1000 premium

I have a 2020 1000 Premium, I believe they are speed limited at 57 mph. There are companies that will reprogram for more speed but probably void your warranty.

Yes 57 is all you’re going to get out of them. I have one that goes 58 once in a while.

My brother only gets 54 on flat ground, a touch higher down hill. While it could be better they are definitely marketing the sohc units as work horses.

I have gotten 63mph out of my XP1000 on a good flat out run. There are some mods out there for them. Once my 2 years are up I am doing the ECM, clutch and cams, says it will be around 110hp. Speed is to get around 80mph then too.

That is flat out smokin for a 1000 sohc. Your machine was definitely not made on a Friday! 👍 My 2021 1000 xp only hits 66.

Sorry mine is an XP, my bad. New to this page and Ranger life. Lol

Not a 1000, but I just did the Gilomen tune on my 900xp and can go 65 with a full cab.Their tune will surely liven up the SOHC 1000.

Got to wait 2 yrs to try a tune. Just figured it do more on top end.

2020 570-6 full size crew and I get 56, buddy down the road fot the tune for his 570 full size, gets about 65 with his now.
I just hit the 1 year mark at only 207 miles. At least another year before I put in the tune or lift kit.

My 2020 sohc 1k would do 54mph, after Gilomen tune it will pull 62mph. I hit 73 going down hill and I let off, the ranger doesn't handle well stock. I think it would go even faster but I've other machines to do that with.

Mine with windshield and aluminum roof and cooler will go 64 mph

570XP Procage. Two humans and the dog 52 mph. No modifications.

I did the same with My 900XP (Gilomen) and added their clutch kit. Super fast turn around and they tune for your needs. Mine was hunting and low end torque not racing. What a difference. No more Polaris jump at start and top speed is at 65 mph. Additional low end power is very noticeable for Towing a small trailer.

What was the ball park cost of that with the clutch kit?
Still debating on doing my 2020 570-6.

And by the way.... Where are you in Arizona? I am down in Tucson and rigging up for hunting as well.
We are out on the east end just off Houghton, about 4 miles ish from the start of Redington Pass.

Just picked up my 1000 EPS yesterday. My 3rd Ranger, 400, 700. It was so cold yesterday with no windshield or top I didn't go much over 44. That's way faster than my last ones went.

I just don't understand why Polaris restricted this engine so much. Maybe they are in bed with the aftermarket programers lol.

Because it is a Ranger. Not a General or RZR.
