What top speed is everyone getting? Finally able to open mine horse up, only getting 57mph. No mods at this point other than windshield and plastic roof. Feel like this could be better.

And by the way.... Where are you in Arizona? I am down in Tucson and rigging up for hunting as well.
We are out on the east end just off Houghton, about 4 miles ish from the start of Redington Pass.
I am in Tucson NW near La Cholla Airpark. Sorry for the delayed response I don’t look at this very often. The ECU flash is around $500 but well worth the money.
Because it is a Ranger. Not a General or RZR.
While this is true, what sense does it make to design an engine/intake, then restrict the flow with programming. If you didn't intend to make xx horsepower then just save cost and use cheaper design. I can't understand the logic with Polaris on this particular issue.

I just hit the 2 year mark at only 407 miles. At least another year before I put in the tune or lift kit. shareit vidmate app

I’m in Oro Valley and have a home in Show Low as well. The other mod I would do to your rig is put armor on the bottom and A arms. I purchased the Aluminum skid plates and while they add additional weight I can’t tell you how many times they’ve saved the bottom of my rig. winch is a good idea too.
If I wanted speed I would have bought a RZR and dragged my deer with rope back to camp

Buy both would be better, as Oklahoma is street legal with them now

I just did the Gilomen tune on my 900xp and can go 65 with a full cab.Their tune will surely liven up the SOHC 1000.

My 2022 570sp crew hit 72 mph one time down hill. But then the trailer started swaying a bit and I had to slow my truck down.

I agree why are most in a hurry? Pop a top and enjoy the view.
My little XP 900 goes 60mph with 28 inch tires, seems to me, a 1000 would have the power to overcome the weight difference. BUT, that will probably be the only time I run it up to top speed.... I run everything out on the top end, just to see what it has. My Harley is fast, 155, took some planning to find that top speed out......uhm, on private roads, yeah.

It does not. 900XP has higher HP than a 1000.

Really, I wouldn’t have thought. My 1000 XP Sportsman had more power than my friends 850, also XP, I dunno.
XP is different than non XP. Single overhead cam (61hp) vs dual overhead cam (82hp)

The OP is talking about a 1000 single overhead cam, they are 61hp, the 900xp were 68hp if I recall correctly.

^^ You beat me to it.

The 1000 uses the lower end of the XP but has a SOHC 2 valve per cylinder top end and has 61 hp tuned for low rpm torque and doesn't have the air flow capacity to put out a lot of top end hp. A tune might get you a little more power but I wouldn't expect XP power.

The engine in the Ranger XP1000 is the same as the General 1000 100 hp with different exhaust and tuning.

With a tuned ecu and on a closed course according to GPS I shut it down at 64 mph. It was getting to be quite a handful to drive.

The top speed of a vehicle can vary based on various factors, including terrain, altitude, weather conditions, vehicle modifications, and weight. While some owners of the 2022 Ranger XP1K Crew Ultimate might achieve higher speeds, it's important to note that individual results may vary. The presence of accessories such as a windshield and plastic roof could potentially impact the aerodynamics and overall performance of the vehicle, which may explain the slightly lower top speed you're experiencing.
If you're seeking improved performance, there are a few options to consider. First, ensure that your vehicle is properly maintained, including regular oil changes, air filter cleanings, and tire pressure checks. Additionally, if you're looking for more significant performance enhancements, you might explore options such as engine tuning or aftermarket modifications designed to optimize power and speed. It's always advisable to consult with a trusted mechanic or dealer for recommendations specific to your vehicle and desired outcomes.
Remember, safety should always be the top priority when operating any vehicle, especially off-road. Adhere to speed limits, follow local regulations, and ride within your comfort zone.
