True tire size.

I’ve read several threads on tire sizes, but my question is which tire is true to size. I’m looking to upgrade the tires and possibly rims on my 2019 ranger 1000 xp premium. It has stock Maxxis 27-9-12 on front and 27-11-12 on rear. Dealer told me I could run a 29” tire w/o a lift. I’m trying to decide if I want to keep stock rims and just put bigger tires or get new rims and run same size on all 4. If I get new rims I would go w a 14x7 4+3 w a 28-10-14 tire. Don’t really want to put any extra stress on the belt and clutches By going too big. I’ve looked at terrabites, quadboss qbt846, maxxis carnivore or rampage, gmc mongrel, and the fuel tires. I really like the tusk or mongrel, but they say the terrabite 28 is actually 26.5.
Does anyone have any pros/cons on any of those tires or have a better tire for me to look at?

Forgot to add I’m using it for farm/ranch work. Mostly gravel roads.
As it turns out, most ATV tires run smaller then advertised, look for at least a 6 ply tire on a Ranger. Sometimes a manufacturer will list true tire size in the description of the tire itself. Sometimes.
I’m running some cheap Buckhorn knock offs, mistake. Like truck tires, you get what you pay for.

Almost all tires run smaller than advertised even vehicles
I have a 2022 XP1000 with Armorpro 30x10x14 on stock rims with no rubbing and no lift kit !! The Armorpro Crawler XG are a short 30 in. and are sold by Polaris !!
Lucked into a set of 29” wheels/tires off of a new machine. Dealer swapped them out before it even left the lot. Just have to install the ready fit winch I got from super atv and then the led light bars when they arrive

I had a 2019 xp 900 that I put moose rims on with 28x10 tusk terrabites on all 4. I moved 2 clicks on shock settings on the front and moved shocks to the outer position front and rear. Prior to shock adjustments the tires would barely rub the front inner lower wheel wells.
The 2022 might have more tire room as my short [ probably over 28 in. ] 30x10x14 dont rub at all , even with the shocks still on the inner hole mounting !

Wheels depends on how good your factory ones are. My factory wheels were way out of round and they would wobble driving down the road. I struggled for sometime on what to do tire size, offset, & wheels. I ended up with same size all the way around so easy spare tire & ability to rotate them. I went with BFG KM3’s 14x30x10”, Method wheels 401’s bead locks (I don’t recommend bead locks for general use) 14”x7” with 4/3 offset. They don’t stick out there flush with the sides of the Ranger. It’s not the brands or exact wheels it’s the size’s that I’m sharing here. Although I absolutely love this entire set up. Awesome traction and ride smooth & true.
