Is it normal for plugs to get carboned up after several slow trips into hunting club? After all, I cannot drive it very fast dodging trees, etc. not oil, just carbon. Starts good, runs good , no smoke, just carbon on plug. Brushes right off w/toothbrush. I suspected choke not seating fully but don't know how to check it??. Any ideas? Thanks to all .

Could be a fuel issue. You don't say what model or year. Try some SeaFoam and new gas. More info is needed about the machine if you want better advice.

Sorry. It is 06 ranger , carb model, 500 with 1200 hours. I might add I took carb apart , cleaned, adjusted to 2.5 turns out , cleaned choke tip and it runs better. Won't know about carbon til I run it some now . I will confess I have been driving in High gear, not Low, at slow speeds. This could be part of problem!

How is the air filter? You should be running low gear for slow speed for the clutch also.

I think driving around at slow speeds in Hi gear is most of my problem . Air filter new, no obstruction in air inlet system, B-12 Chem added to fuel , carb cleaned out and adjusted to 2.5 turns out , plugs new , etc.
I will report further after driving a week or two in low gear.
Thanks to all who replied and offered advice. It is appreciated.
