it also doesnt start very nice either it needs a little throttle to get it going most of the time

 

I'm not sure on that year/model, but 50 sounds too low. At that age, I'd also check the valve clearances if it hasn't been done.

 

1. Per the shop manual fuel pressure should be 58 psi +/- 2, so that is your first issue. Fuel filter and or fuel pump itself.

2. change the spark plugs
3. Remove the injectors and inspect. If you see any rust replace them. You can always have injectors cleaned and calibrated for a reasonable price.

You can get a cheaper pump of Amazon...but if the black plastic canister filter above the pump is plugged...you wasted your money.

Also absolutely take the time to spray some carb or brake cleaner around the intake boots where they attach to the head and listen for any rpm change. Douse it good 👍
